Eating Disorders Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS)

EDNOS is a diagnostic category for eating disorders that don't meet the full criteria for anorexia nervosa or bulimia nervosa but still cause significant distress or impairment. This category has been largely replaced by Other Specified Feeding or Eating Disorder (OSFED) in the DSM-5. Treatment approaches for EDNOS/OSFED are similar to those for other eating disorders, tailored to the specific symptoms and needs of the individual.
